Welcome to a special place where quality will never go out of style, safety is a forethought not an afterthought, and a child’s imaginary voyages become memories filled with adventure. These pages represent Rainbow Play Systems’ greatest achievements and introduce many unique safety and craftsmanship standards that are second to none. Attention to detail, safety, and visual appearance is evident everywhere. Balance, subtle side rails, attractive and vinyl coated steel brackets and climbing ladders, North American timber, superior hardware and accessories that perform superbly alone or together, sturdy large beam and through-bolt construction for long-term safety and enjoyment, smooth and rounded play surfaces for safety, vinyl coated safety chains, and versatile and expandable designs all contribute to the placement of Rainbow’s quality ahead of all others.
Safety Considerations
Each of products descriptions includes falling space dimensions. Minimum play area is the total space under and around a piece of installed equipment that is required for a user to complete the activity, such as swinging out or exiting a slide. When planning the space requirements for your playground, give careful consideration to the ground space dimensions and the minimum play area. It is vital, for safety, that the entire zone be covered with a soft resilient surface. See European Committee for Standardization document EN 1177 for further guidance.
The Right Play Surface
According to the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission, over 70% of all playground injuries occur because of falls to the ground. It is very important to never install playground equipment over a hard surface. Falls onto a hard surface can result in serious injury. We recommend when choosing a surfacing material that it meets EN 1176 and EN 1177 European Committee standards. 18 IPEMA Rainbow Play Systems, Inc is a member of the Manufacturers Association (IPEMA), which is a member driven association whose mission is to assist in providing safe environments for children to play.
